String design warnings

While you're stringing up your solar design, Pylon detects common mistakes and problems. These messages should help you design the best possible systems for your customers.
The issues Pylon detects could cause your system to underperform, or may be against local codes and standards in your area. However, it's up to you to follow all applicable standards and to know the effect of your design on the final system's performance.
All warnings are calculated based on your project's temperature range.
Here's what the different messages mean and how you can resolve them:
Inverter warnings
Input power exceeds [X]W at [T]°C
What's wrong: this inverter simply has too many panels connected to it; it cannot accept so much power input.
How to fix it: swap this inverter for a larger model, or add another inverter.
MPPT warnings
⚠️Array short-circuit current [X]A at [T1] exceeds inverter rated current of [Y]A at [T2]°C. Clipping may occur.
What's wrong: The panel is producing current on the hottest day beyond the inverter's rated current. Clipping may occur. This may affect system performance but is not likely to damage the inverter.
How to fix it: No fix is required.
🛑Array short-circuit current [X]A at [T1] exceeds inverter short-circuit current of [Y]A at [T2]°C
What's wrong: there are probably too many parallel strings attached to this MPPT, so the current going into it will be too much for it to handle.
How to fix it: Move some strings into different MPPTs, or consolidate panels into fewer strings.
Voltage mismatch between strings exceeds 5%
What's wrong: all strings attached to an MPPT must have the same voltage, because they are connected in parallel.
How to fix it: adjust the strings so they all contain the same number of panels, or move some strings to different MPPTs.
String-level warnings
Operating voltage at [T]°C must reach [X]V
What's wrong: the voltage produced by this string of panels is too low for the inverter to accept.
How to fix it: add more panels to this string to increase its voltage.
Operating voltage at [T]°C exceeds [X]V
What's wrong: the voltage produced by this string of panels is too high for the inverter to accept.
How to fix it: remove some panels from this string to reduce its voltage.
Open-circuit voltage at [T]°C exceeds [X]V
What's wrong: the maximum possible voltage produced by this string (its open-circuit voltage at the lowest expected temperature) is too high for the inverter to accept.
How to fix it: remove some panels from this string to reduce its voltage.
